Hello All,
The seating process for the Chamber Music Society of St. Louis 2022-23 Season in the E. Desmond Lee Concert Hall at the 560 Music Center has begun. Seats are flying off the shelves…well…the seats are not actually going anywhere…but their availability is. To ensure we can fulfill your seating preference, call us to renew/subscribe over the phone. 314-941-6309 That is the best way to put you in the process going on right now to get your desired seating area.
You can also order online but the software does not allow for indicating seating preference. Call us to do that if you desire a certain area. By the way, the 560 has some very cool software to view the seats in the space. CLICK HERE to view.
Thursday evening at 5:30pm and repeated on Monday at 10am, you can hear the The Chamber At Home broadcast of a program where you chose the repertoire. “All About You” features two giants of the chamber repertoire, the stunning Schumann Piano Quintet in Eb Major and Mendelssohn’s Octet also in Eb. Two other works you chose are a trio Beethoven composed for clarinet, cello and piano and the popular and dramatic prelude in C# Minor by Rachmaninoff.
The “cast of thousands” you will hear performing are violinists Andrea Jarrett, Becky Boyer Hall, Angie Smart, Jessica Cheng Hellwege, Ann Fink and Hannah Ji. The violists are Chris Tantillo and Susan Gordon and cellists Bjorn Ranheim and Alvin McCall. The pianists are Peter Henderson and Alla Voskoboynikova and clarinetist is Tzuying Huang.
The Schumann, Beethoven and Rachmaninoff have fun stories plus some fun facts about the Rachmaninoff and Mendelssohn which I share that help connect with the music.
So, please get your subscription renewals or orders into the mix and….. I will see you on the radio,
Marc
The concert was just thrilling. Loved the pianist. Adored the Dvorak. Happy to see Leonard in such an intimate setting. Terrific evening! Thanks.
We deeply appreciate Chamber Music Society and the exquisite music they perform. Thank you for all the lovely music you have brought us over the years. We look forward to many more.
We are grateful to your beautiful, awe-inspiring CMSSL in our lives. As threadbare as our nation has become in so many ways, it is the regenerative power of music ant the arts that enthuses me. Keep on weaving! Thank you.
These concerts have been even better than I imagined. My hat off to your engineer- the sound quality exceeded that of most CDs I own of this repertoire. I also applaud Peter Henderson for tackling the Liszt this week. Thank you all so much for bringing so much light in these trying times.
Many thanks… for a very professionally presented performance of endearing music with the very best musicians.
Last night’s performance was, as usual, wonderful. We are looking forward to the next Chamber concert.
I just wanted to express to you and the board what an exceptional job you each have done during these very trying times. I regularly attend many venues during the course of the year. The Chamber Music Society has by far created the best experience.
CMSSL has been doing all it can in the way of creative, highly successful efforts to compensate for the agony of 2020. That’s been very much appreciated.
Thank you for a fantastic evening.
I really enjoyed the concert Monday. Nice camera work and sound.
