Get Ready All,
Here comes one of those concerts to which so many of us look forward. A visit from our dear friend Nicholas McGegan is always a treat…both for his music making and for the joyful way in which he shares that music. Nic will lead CMSSL musicians in “From Baroque To Classical”, a program that presents music transitioning from the Baroque to the Classical period.
We start with J.S. Bach’s (the father) 3rd Brandenburg Concerto. Then Charles Metz performs a short harpsichord work by Domenico Scarlatti who takes us to C. P. E. Bach (the son) who will take us to intermission. The second half features Bjorn Ranheim as soloist in a concert favorite, Haydn’s Cello Concerto in D. From there we finish with Mozart’s lively 29th Symphony.
Our concerts with Nicholas McGegan are very popular so for best seating options, order tickets early. This is the last concert in our Buy One Get One Free promotion….. so get tickets for you, for your family, for your friends, for your families friends…well…you get the picture.
IMPORTANT MESSAGE – We were made aware Saturday afternoon that our website is experiencing an issue on the Home page. It may cause some confusion about accessing the virtual concert- “LoveFest Goes To The Movies”. You will still be able to view the concert anytime while it is available through midnight Sunday. This link will take you directly to the Concert page where you can enter the password:

Never a dull moment,
Marc
Last night’s performance was, as usual, wonderful. We are looking forward to the next Chamber concert.
The chamber music concerts are completely unique. I’ve never had the opportunity to experience such superior musicians in such an intimate environment. This is the perfect combination of music, musician and venue – it feels like the concert is for just me and my friends.
This amazing venue puts you ‘up close & personal’ with performers – their discussion before a piece gives me a hint of their emotions. Plus I love that I can see them glance at each other and even smile during a concert…
I really enjoyed the concert Monday. Nice camera work and sound.
This is the way chamber music was meant to be heard!
The most interesting, and provocative ensemble in town is the Chamber Music Society of St. Louis.
“I thoroughly enjoyed the concert and I look forward to attending more Chamber music Society events”
Thank you for a fantastic evening.
It’s the music! It’s the venue! But wait: it’s also my tablemates!! Can you imagine…… organizes the programs and performers, but also devises a seating chart? I can’t imagine having 2 more compatible listening companions than the ones I’ve met…..! Thank you, CMSSL, for inspiring concerts, and thank you, ………, for just plain fun! Barbara, Ladue
We deeply appreciate Chamber Music Society and the exquisite music they perform. Thank you for all the lovely music you have brought us over the years. We look forward to many more.
