A reminder that the rebroadcast of last Thursday’s concert in The Chamber At Home series on Classic 107.3 is Monday morning at 10 AM. The program features music by Mozart, Saint-Saëns and Schumann. Musicians performing are violinist Kristin Ahlstrom and harpist Megan Stout on the Saint-Saëns, violinist Helen Kim, violist Susan Gordon and cellist Alvin McCall play the Mozart with some English horn player named Marc Gordon. The development of CMSSL necessitated that guy to trade his instruments for a computer to keep up with that growth. However, this concert is an encore performance from 2013 when he still remembered the fingerings.
To conclude the program, pianist Patti Wolf joins the strings for the Schumann’s monumental Eb Piano Quintet.
Thinking about our collective efforts to avoid the contagious virus, how about this? Albert Einstein said “Creativity is contagious, pass it on.”
“See” you on the radio,

Keep up the great work with the Chamber!!! A real gift.
Beautiful music, expertly played, wonderfully programmed! An intimate venue that provides a chance to really get to know the musicians and hear them up close, the way chamber music was meant to be heard. A great addition to the St. Louis music scene.
The most interesting, and provocative ensemble in town is the Chamber Music Society of St. Louis.
The concert was just thrilling. Loved the pianist. Adored the Dvorak. Happy to see Leonard in such an intimate setting. Terrific evening! Thanks.
We are grateful to your beautiful, awe-inspiring CMSSL in our lives. As threadbare as our nation has become in so many ways, it is the regenerative power of music ant the arts that enthuses me. Keep on weaving! Thank you.
These concerts have been even better than I imagined. My hat off to your engineer- the sound quality exceeded that of most CDs I own of this repertoire. I also applaud Peter Henderson for tackling the Liszt this week. Thank you all so much for bringing so much light in these trying times.
CMSSL has been doing all it can in the way of creative, highly successful efforts to compensate for the agony of 2020. That’s been very much appreciated.
We would like to let you know how much we enjoy your concert series. We like the variety in the programming and instrumentation and the accomplished performers. What better way than to take it all in sipping a glass of wine in a relaxed atmosphere.
I just wanted to express to you and the board what an exceptional job you each have done during these very trying times. I regularly attend many venues during the course of the year. The Chamber Music Society has by far created the best experience.
We deeply appreciate Chamber Music Society and the exquisite music they perform. Thank you for all the lovely music you have brought us over the years. We look forward to many more.
