CMSSL Announces New Chairman, Location

The Chamber Music Society of Saint Louis is pleased to announce both a new Chairman of the Board and a new office location for its upcoming 2017-18 Season.

After seven years as Chairman of the Board, Tim Durbin has handed over the reins to Thomas R. Voss, who was recently elected to their Board of Directors. Voss is “honored to serve as Chairman of the Board for the Chamber Music Society of St. Louis. It is a St. Louis gem that keeps improving its artistry while expanding its audience.” Previously Chairman, President and CEO of Ameren Corporation, Voss adds this new position to the many other civic and arts organizations he assists as well as his current position as Chairman of Smart Wires.

“We are honored to have Thomas R. Voss succeed Tim Durbin as Chairman of our Board of Directors. Tim has guided CMSSL to remarkable and consistent growth for seven years and will remain on the Board insuring a smooth transition,” explains Marc Gordon, CMSSL Executive and Artistic Director. “Tom brings great leadership and a wealth of experience to CMSSL as well as a history of commitment to our community.”

Voss will be helming the upcoming seasons from the new CMSSL office location in Clayton. After six years sharing space with Grand Center, Inc in their Washington Ave location, Bond Architects generously donated space for both their office needs and their music library at 222 South Central Avenue, Ste 100. Gordon is “very grateful to Bond Architects in Clayton for their generosity in donating office space to CMSSL. Special thanks to Bond partners, Art Bond and Sue Pruchnicki for their assistance.” Bond Architects have been offering diverse and respected designs for the St. Louis region since 1992.

CMSSL will continue to host their regular season performances in the Sheldon Ballroom (3648 Washington Blvd., Grand Center, St. Louis, MO 63108). Subscriptions and concert information are available on the CMSSL website.
