Felicia Foland

St. Louis native Felicia Foland joined the bassoon section of the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra in 1990. She attended the Eastman School of Music where she earned a Bachelor of Music, and went on to earn two graduate degrees from Northwestern University in Chicago.
In addition to her tenure with the SLSO she has performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Rochester Philharmonic, the New York City Opera Touring Company, the Springfield (Illinois) Symphony, and the South Bend Symphony. In addition, Felicia has performed in Mexico with the Orquesta de Jalapa and the Orquesta del Estado de Mexico, and in Germany with the Heidelberg Opera Speil. She recently served as principal bassoonist of the Cabrillo Festival in Santa Cruz, Ca; a premiere festival of orchestral contemporary music.
Through her solo and chamber performances, Felicia inspires audiences to learn more about the bassoon and to enjoy its repertoire.
