Master Class Series

The Chamber Music Society of St. Louis Master Class Series is open to St. Louis area students to prepare and perform solo and chamber works guided by a CMSSL artist. Soloists/ensembles perform and receive feedback in a format intended to provide both participants and observers with valuable instruction. This program is FREE to qualified students. CMSSL Education Coordinator Alvin McCall is the administrator of this program.

The Master Class Series serves a diverse group of students representing a broad range of area schools. Participating students must be enrolled in a music program with a qualified music teacher, private lesson instructor, or similar musical guidance. Classes are held at The Sheldon Ballroom in Grand Center and run for a maximum of two hours. CMSSL is very excited about this program as we believe these Master Classes can be of great benefit to St. Louis area music students.

Master Classes for the 2018-19 Season are performed in the Chapel of the 560 Music Center and are listed below, along with their respective instructors. The 560 Music Center is located at 560 Trinity Ave., St. Louis, MO, 63130, near the intersection of Delmar and Trinity Avenues in University City. ALL MASTER CLASSES ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

As we all work to navigate this extraordinary situation, The Chamber continues to monitor the Coronavirus situation and its impact on our community.

As is the case with our colleagues in other organizations, the safety of our patrons, musicians and staff is of utmost concern. We are postponing our March 23 and 24 concerts. We do plan to reschedule these performances as soon as is practical and your tickets will be honored at that time. CMSSL also offers the option of free exchanges of tickets for any remaining performances.  READ MORE
